Looking ahead on the Ocala/Marion County entertainment list

Summer Kids Film Series

The Marion Theatre, 50 S. Magnolia Ave., Ocala, will host a Summer Film Series for kids each Wednesday-Friday beginning June 1 through Aug. 5. Showtimes are 10 and 11 a.m. Films include “Shrek,” “Aladdin,” “Madagascar,” “How to Train Your Dragon,” “Where the Wild Things Are” and “Sing 2.” Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for children 12/under and include a summer Snack Pack. The Levitt AMP Ocala Music Series

The Marion Cultural Alliance in partnership with the City of Ocala presents free, family friendly outdoor concerts to the public on Fridays through July 1 from 7-9 p.m. at the Martin Luther King Jr. Recreation Complex, 1510 NW Fourth St., Ocala. The series is sponsored in part by the Mortimer & Mimi Levitt Foundation, which funds and empowers communities to inject new life into underused spaces. Queen Flash – The Premiere Tribute to Queen

Queen Flash’s Larry Zatylyny carries on the musical tradition of the legendary Freddie Mercury with a high-energy, electrifying show that echoes the drama and theatrical flourish of the man himself and a band that transformed music and challenged standards. The sixth season of WIND-FM’s tribute series will be “Rockin’ the Reilly” through summer and early fall, continuing June 4 at Reilly Arts Center, 500 NE Ninth St., Ocala, with “Lynyrd Skynyrd Tribute” at 7:30 p.m. Tickets $20-$31. Jumpin’ June Swing Dance Social

Shine up your saddle shoes with Becky Sinn and Swing Theory at Reilly Arts Center, 500 NE Ninth St., Ocala, for a celebration of Ocala history. The Jumpin’ June Swing Dance is a tribute to bygone days of the 1940s, when dances were a huge part of local culture. Fun photo ops, specialty themed cocktails, swing dance jam circle, featured dance performances, and vintage music. It all starts June 4 at 8 p.m. in Noma Black Box. Tickets $20.
