Palm trees, azure swimming pools, and four beautiful modern villas in the tropics to put you in a beachy blue sky mood. Now that’s what we’re talking about. Forget the humdrum and let yourself drift away to Bali, where we find a holiday home next door to a banana plantation. Lush greenery fans around the outskirts of the villa, growing a feeling of closeness with nature. Greenery is the beating heart of our other three featured villas too, along with traditional wicker accents, authentic rugs and heavy rich wood furniture. Large expanses of glass and cut away ceilings bring in clear skies and the feeling of blissful freedom.
The Young Villas are situated on a quiet road that’s close to the beach in tropical Canggu, Bali. Palm tree wall art brings a tropical beachy feel indoors to the living room.
Decorative shelving is set deep back into the white concrete walls of the new villa, laden with eclectic ceramics to give the space an authentic feel.
Rustic round coffee tables are clustered together on a Balinese rug to introduce a moment of tradition and warmth to the centre of the crisp whilte sunken lounge.
Unique planters are situated to continue the garden on the inside of large black framed glass doors. The sliding doors open up the living room up to a lush view of a tropical banana plantation next door.
More glazed doors cut open great expanses of the living room so that the cool ocean breeze can flow straight through.
A six seat dining set comes next in the open plan, before a kitchen with a square dining island. A shelf of indoor plants take greenery around the back of the room.
A myriad of wicker pendant lights fall over the kitchen diner to make an eye catching statement that’s in keeping with the rest of the natural room elements.
The cooktop is installed in prime position for the host to chat with guests whilst rustling up something tasty.
Black and white geometric bar stools sharpen up the natural timber island.
A tiered master bedroom overlooks the private outdoor swimming pool.
L-shaped end of bed seating makes a cosy use of the space, and allows villa occupants to make the most of the terrace and garden view.
Each of the three king sized bedrooms has their own en-suite bathrooms with outdoor showers.
Clean white tiles encase the outdoor shower, with stylish charcoal herringbone tile across the floor.
With all of the doors opened, the villa and pool terrace become one free flowing living area.
The Prana House in Canggu, Bali is a two-story villa. The rectangle pool design flows alongside a bed of towering tropical plants that provide shade.
Outdoor bean bag chairs settle softly on a small area of lawn on the other side of the pool, making a comfy place to hang out with a cold drink.
The side of the villa opens wide to the garden, which makes both the living room and the compact outdoor space feel much larger.
A stone staircase design floats weightlessly up to the second story, winding its way around two walls of a simple lounge below.
A chunky stone countertop wraps the wooden kitchen island, and morphs into a dining extension at one end.
Two wooden dining chairs and a wood dining bench form a casual set.
Wooden shades can be drawn down in front of the bedroom’s small balcony to provide sun shade and evening privacy.
Inside the bedroom, a vibrant orange accent decor scheme ups the tempo. Wicker bedroom pendant lights hang low over rustic bedsides.
The wooden platform bed matches timber frame balcony doors.
Wood slats filter sunlight into the shower. A stone planter complements a light stone bathroom sink
This two bedroom villa has an open living room that unfolds underneath an impressive vaulted ceiling.
A bright blue rug has been added to the centre of the living room to pull in the colour of the pool.
Colourful rugs accent the bedrooms too, while the rest of the textiles remain a pure ethereal white that contrasts freshly with heavy dark wood furniture.
Wicker wall sconces, matching bedside cabinets and indoor plants arrange a balanced headboard wall.
Sheer drapes filter direct sunlight.
Narrow terraces stripe the edges of an inviting pool.
Mature trees shade the outdoor living area.
Our final villa is a magnificent five bedroom property in Canggu, Bali. A double height void opens up above the vast living room, cracking the villa wide open to the skyscape. At ground level, a contemporary grey L-shaped sofa cuts sharply around a live edge rustic coffee table.
Timber steps climb the pure white living room wall.
Wooden slats draw the eye up over the impressive room height, to where a flurry of wicker pendant lights fall.
A modern fan spins a black note into the bedroom, which matches the room’s black framed furniture.
Wooden slats make up a rich headboard statement wall.
